My goal was to integrate theatrical elements like lighting, props, and mise-en-scene into the work while exploring the use of rice asa sculptural medium. Rice plays a focal role in both the play and the artwork; it reflects on the paradox of abundance transforming into burden and despair, capturing the poignant sentiment of feeling full yet empty, embodying the essence of being “hungry for nothing.”
